Despite the variety of hydrogen refueling station types, the mainstream construction currently focuses on two main types: stationary and skid-mounted. These two types of stations excel in both safety and economics.
Specifically, the construction cost of a 500kg capacity stationary hydrogen refueling station is approximately 10 million RMB, while the construction cost of a skid-mounted station of the same capacity is approximately 5 million RMB.
Hydrogen refueling stations typically utilize lower-cost fossil fuel-derived hydrogen and industrial by-product hydrogen. Considering hydrogen transportation costs and profits, the price of hydrogen delivered to the plant is approximately 25-35 RMB/kg, which is closely related to local hydrogen supply capacity.
Assuming the refueling station operates for 300 days a year, with 100% capacity utilization, an annual hydrogen refueling volume of 150 tons, a gross profit margin of approximately 15%, and a refueling nozzle price of approximately 45 RMB/kg, using a fully loaded 49-ton heavy truck as an example, when the refueling nozzle price is 28 RMB/kg, the operating cost is comparable to that of a gasoline vehicle.
Considering the subsidy policies in various regions, with an average subsidy of 10-20 yuan/kg, the cost of using hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks after subsidies is still higher than that of gasoline vehicles.
