Natural gas, after purification (removal of CO2, sulfides, heavy hydrocarbons, water, and other impurities), is cryogenically cooled to -162°C under normal pressure, changing from a gaseous state to a liquid state, known as liquefied natural gas (LNG). The volume of LNG is approximately 1/620th that of the same mass of natural gas, and its weight is approximately 45% that of the same volume of water.
Classification: LNG refueling stations are refueling stations supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG). They are generally classified into four types:
1. Skid-mounted refueling stations
2. Standard refueling stations
3. L-CNG refueling stations
4. Mobile skid-mounted refueling stations
