Hydrogen Trailer Unloading & Loading Skid (Hydrogen Unloading Column System)

 

As a critical infrastructure of hydrogen refueling stations, the hydrogen unloading and loading skid works in coordination with hydrogen dispensers to form a complete hydrogen station supply chain system.

The hydrogen unloading column, also known as a hydrogen trailer unloading skid or high-pressure hydrogen transfer system, is a specialized integrated equipment designed for safe hydrogen loading and unloading operations between tube trailers or tube bundle containers and hydrogen refueling stations.

• Receiving high-pressure hydrogen delivered from external suppliers (hydrogen unloading)

1. Hydrogen Unloading (Primary Function)
Process:
High-pressure hydrogen (typically around 20 MPa) from tube trailers is safely transferred through the unloading column into the station's compressor inlet or medium-pressure hydrogen storage banks.
Purpose:
To replenish hydrogen supply for daily station operations - the core logistics process of hydrogen refueling stations.

2. Hydrogen Backfilling / Recharging (Secondary Function)
Process:
Hydrogen stored in the station's high-pressure storage system is transferred back into tube trailers via the unloading column.
Purpose:
• Empty station storage tanks for maintenance
• Return excess hydrogen to suppliers
• Improve overall hydrogen utilization efficiency
